Last Friday, TEA announced changes to its hold harmless calculations for elderly and disabled homeowners. You can find our overview here. 

The MoakCasey finance team will hold a webinar Tuesday, March 10th at 2 PM to review these changes and show how you can assess the impact to your district.

MoakCasey has updated its
Summary of Finance template
We have made the following updates on the latest version of our Summary of Finance template (Version 7):
  • Updated the hold harmless related to the elderly/disabled in line with TEA’s revised methodology. This represents our best understanding at this time. TEA promised to update SOF soon.
     
  • Updated I&S ASAHE calculations beginning in 2025-26 to no longer reduce state aid based on lower tax collections. Thank you to Jeff at Hilltop Securities for your help working through that issue.
     
  • Updated fast growth allotment figures and fall snapshot enrollment data.
     
  • Updated tax collections 2025-26 to align with PEIMS budgeted collections. Corrected issue impacting collection rate assumptions in out years.
