Selection Period: June 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026

Notification/Confirmation: Notifications will be sent in August 2026

This year’s Texas Assessment Conference call for proposals centers on the theme:

“LEADING WITH PURPOSE”

The Texas Assessment Conference invites superintendents, district leaders, campus administrators, assessment professionals, instructional leaders, and content specialists to submit proposals that elevate assessment beyond compliance and into purposeful leadership.

In today’s evolving accountability landscape, assessment must serve as a catalyst for clarity, coherence, and continuous improvement. We seek innovative, practical, and research-based sessions that empower districts to align systems, strengthen instructional impact, and support every learner.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length and proposals may be submitted as traditional presentation, interactive panel, or workshop-style sessions that allow participants to engage more deeply with tools, strategies, and implementation practices.  Workshop proposals should emphasize hands-on learning, collaboration, and practical application for leaders.
 

Submission Guidelines

Proposals should align to one of the following tracks:

• Accountability
• Assessment Literacy
• College and Career Readiness
• Instructional Strategies
• Leadership
• Special Populations
• Technology

Proposals should clearly outline learning outcomes, practical application, target audience, and evidence of impact. Priority will be given to sessions that demonstrate measurable results, replicable systems, and alignment to Texas priorities. Join us as we lead with purpose supporting assessments as a powerful lever for purposeful impact for students across Texas.

• If you are submitting the session proposal on behalf of someone else, please fill in the Submission Editor contact information to receive a carbon copy of submission notifications.
• With the exception of Sponsor Demonstration Fair presentations, Exhibitors/Vendors wanting to submit a session proposal must co-present with someone from a school campus, district, or college/university to have their session proposal considered.
• All main presenters and co-presenters must register for the Texas Assessment Conference and pay the Attendee registration fee.
